  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GIF1 (Gibberellin insensitive 1) is a key regulatory protein involved in the plant hormone signaling pathway, particularly in the response to gibberellins, which are crucial for various developmental processes such as seed germination, stem elongation, and flowering. The study of GIF1 and its recombinant protein has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential applications in agriculture and plant biotechnology. Researchers have aimed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the interaction of GIF1 with various signaling molecules and transcription factors that govern plant growth and development. This understanding is essential for manipulating plant developmental pathways, leading to improved crop varieties with enhanced growth rates, stress resistance, and yield. Additionally, the production of recombinant GIF1 proteins allows for functional assays that can assess the protein's role in gibberellin signaling and its interactions with other signaling pathways. As plant hormones play a vital role in agricultural productivity and sustainability, GIF1 research holds promise for biotechnological advancements, enabling the development of crops that can better adapt to changing environmental conditions and global food demands.
