Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CK8, or Cytokeratin 8, is a type of intermediate filament protein that plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity and functionality of epithelial cells. Its expression is primarily found in simple epithelia, including those of the digestive tract, respiratory system, and reproductive organs. Given its importance in cell architecture, alterations in CK8 expression have been linked to various physiological and pathological processes, particularly in cancers such as breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers. In recent years, researchers have shown increasing interest in producing recombinant CK8 proteins for various applications, including the study of epithelial cell biology, understanding disease mechanisms, and developing potential therapeutic strategies. The recombinant proteins allow for in-depth analysis of CK8's role in cell signaling, apoptosis, and interaction with other cytoskeletal elements. Furthermore, the ability to generate CK8 in a controlled environment enables studies on protein folding, post-translational modifications, and protein-protein interactions, which are critical for elucidating its function in health and disease. As a result, CK8 recombinant protein research is paving the way for advancements in biomarker discovery, targeted therapies, and improved diagnostic tools in oncology and other fields involving epithelial tissue.
