Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HERC5, a member of the HERC (Homologous to the E6-AP Carboxyl Terminus) family of E3 ubiquitin ligases, plays a pivotal role in the cellular response to stress and the regulation of various biological processes, including immune responses and protein degradation. Its involvement in the ubiquitin-proteasome system highlights its significance in modulating protein stability and function within the cell. Recent studies have revealed that HERC5 is particularly important in the context of viral infections, as it enhances the antiviral response by facilitating the ubiquitination of interferon-stimulated gene products. The understanding of HERC5's mechanisms of action and regulatory pathways can provide insight into its potential as a therapeutic target for diseases linked to immune response dysregulation or viral pathogenesis. The recombinant expression of HERC5 protein allows researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, interaction partners, and specific functionalities in isolation, paving the way for a deeper comprehension of its role in viral immunity and cellular homeostasis. As such, the recombinant HERC5 protein is a valuable tool for elucidating the intricacies of the ubiquitin-proteasome system and may inform the development of novel antiviral strategies or interventions in immune-related disorders.
