Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GSTZ1, or Glutathione S-Transferase Zeta 1, is a member of the glutathione S-transferase superfamily, playing a crucial role in the detoxification of various electrophilic compounds and the metabolism of environmental toxins and drugs. Its unique ability to conjugate glutathione to harmful substances facilitates their excretion from the body, making GSTZ1 important in protecting cells from oxidative stress and supporting overall cellular function. Research into GSTZ1 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various diseases, including cancer, metabolic disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions, wherein its activity may influence drug metabolism and efficacy. Genetic polymorphisms in the GSTZ1 gene have been associated with altered enzyme activity, which can affect individual susceptibility to certain diseases and response to pharmacological treatments. The recombinant expression of GSTZ1 protein is critical for in-depth studies of its structure-function relationships and for the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity. By producing GSTZ1 in a laboratory setting, researchers can investigate its biochemical properties, regulatory mechanisms, and interaction with substrates and inhibitors, thereby enhancing our understanding of its role in human health and disease. This research is vital for developing targeted therapies and personalized medicine approaches that take into account the genetic variations in GSTZ1 among individuals.
