Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TJP2, or Tight Junction Protein 2, is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family and plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining tight junctions in epithelial and endothelial cells. These tight junctions are essential for maintaining cell polarity, regulating paracellular permeability, and contributing to cellular signaling pathways that influence various biological processes. Dysregulation of TJP2 has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and neurological disorders. The study of recombinant TJP2 protein is vital for understanding its structural and functional properties, as well as its interactions with other tight junction proteins and signaling molecules. Producing TJP2 as a recombinant protein enables researchers to conduct in vitro assays, analyze its biochemical functions, and investigate its molecular mechanisms in the context of cell junction integrity and disease pathogenesis. Furthermore, studying TJP2 may provide insights into potential therapeutic targets, as modulation of tight junction dynamics can offer avenues for treating conditions associated with barrier dysfunction. Thus, the exploration of TJP2 recombinant protein not only enhances our understanding of cellular architecture and signaling but also holds promise for developing innovative treatment strategies in various pathologies related to tight junctions.
