Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is a novel metabolic regulator with significant implications for obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. Discovered for its role in energy homeostasis, FGF21 is predominantly expressed in the liver, adipose tissue, and pancreas and acts as a hormone to coordinate the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism. Research has shown that FGF21 can enhance insulin sensitivity, promote fatty acid oxidation, and improve lipid profiles, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions in metabolic disorders. Recombinant FGF21 proteins are being studied to better understand their mechanism of action and to evaluate their potential as treatments for conditions such as type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Preclinical and clinical trials are actively investigating the effects of FGF21-based therapies, which may lead to the development of novel pharmacological agents. The ability to produce recombinant FGF21 in sufficient quantities has facilitated these studies, further illuminating its biological functions and effects on metabolic pathways. Overall, the ongoing research on FGF21 recombinant proteins holds great promise for advancing the treatment of metabolic diseases and improving patient outcomes.
