Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GRM2, or Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor 2, is a pivotal member of the metabotropic glutamate receptor family, which plays an important role in modulating neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity in the central nervous system. Research on GRM2 has gained momentum due to its involvement in various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression, where altered glutamatergic signaling can lead to significant behavioral and cognitive deficits. Given its critical function, GRM2 has emerged as a promising target for drug development aimed at enhancing or mitigating glutamatergic transmission. The study of GRM2 recombinant proteins allows for a deeper understanding of its structure-function relationships and the mechanisms underlying its signaling pathways, facilitating the identification of novel therapeutic avenues. Various expression systems, such as bacteria and mammalian cells, have been employed to produce these recombinant proteins, enabling researchers to investigate GRM2's pharmacological properties and interaction with potential ligands. This research is instrumental in fostering the development of GRM2 modulators, which could provide innovative treatments for glutamate-related disorders, enhancing our capacity to manipulate synaptic plasticity and neuroprotection.
