Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interferon omega 1 (IFN-ω1) is a type I interferon that has garnered attention for its potential therapeutic applications in various diseases, particularly infectious diseases and cancer. As a cytokine, IFN-ω1 plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating antiviral activities, promoting cellular proliferation, and enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and eliminate pathogens. Unlike other interferons, IFN-ω1 is primarily produced by leukocytes and exhibits a unique receptor binding profile, which may result in distinct signaling pathways and biological effects. Research on recombinant IFN-ω1 focuses on its production, characterization, and functional studies to better understand its role in immunomodulation. Additionally, studies have explored its potential to treat conditions such as chronic viral infections (e.g., hepatitis) and certain types of cancers, leveraging its ability to induce antiviral states and modulate immune responses. Investigators are also examining the safety, efficacy, and optimal dosing regimens of IFN-ω1 in clinical settings, as well as its interactions with other therapeutic agents. Overall, the study of recombinant IFN-ω1 is pivotal in enhancing our understanding of immune regulation and developing novel therapeutic strategies for diseases with high unmet medical needs.
