Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interferon-beta (IFN-β) is a crucial cytokine with significant roles in the immune response, particularly in antiviral defense and modulation of the immune system. Its therapeutic potential has garnered substantial attention, especially in the context of multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment, where it is utilized to reduce the frequency of relapses and slow disease progression. The recombinant production of IFN-β using recombinant DNA technology has enabled the generation of high-purity and biologically active proteins, initially derived from human cells. Research on IFN-β has expanded to explore its mechanisms of action, including the activation of immune cells, the inhibition of viral replication, and its impact on the central nervous system. Furthermore, studies have focused on optimizing its formulation for enhanced stability and efficacy. Advances in biotechnological methods, such as improved expression systems and purification techniques, have led to the development of various pharmaceutical formulations of IFN-β, making it a cornerstone in the treatment landscape of autoimmune and viral diseases. Ongoing research continues to investigate its application in other conditions, such as cancers and other inflammatory disorders, reinforcing its position as a critical component in the therapeutic arsenal against various pathologies.
