Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRT40, or Keratin 40, is a type II keratin that plays a critical role in the structural integrity and function of epithelial cells. As an essential component of the cytoskeleton in various tissues, KRT40 has been implicated in several cellular processes, including cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. Research into KRT40 has gained momentum due to its potential involvement in skin disorders and its expression patterns in certain cancers, where abnormal keratin expression may serve as a biomarker or therapeutic target. The study of recombinant KRT40 protein is particularly important for understanding its biological functions and interactions at the molecular level. By producing and characterizing KRT40 as a recombinant protein, researchers can evaluate its role in maintaining cell structure and integrity, as well as elucidate its impact on cell signaling pathways. Furthermore, recombinant KRT40 can be used in functional assays, drug screening, and studies aimed at developing targeted therapies for related skin diseases and tumors. Overall, the exploration of KRT40 through recombinant protein research not only deepens our understanding of keratin biology but also opens new avenues for clinical applications in regenerative medicine and cancer treatment.
