  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GOLGA1, also known as Golgin A1, is a member of the golgin family of proteins, which are localized in the Golgi apparatus and play critical roles in maintaining its structure and function. Research into GOLGA1 has gained attention due to its involvement in several cellular processes, including Golgi organization, vesicular trafficking, and protein sorting. Disruption or abnormal expression of GOLGA1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, where altered Golgi function can affect cellular signaling and proliferation. Additionally, GOLGA1 is becoming a point of interest in studies related to neurodegenerative disorders and viral infections, as its activity is often hijacked by pathogens to aid in their replication and spread. Recent advances in molecular biology techniques have enabled the exploration of GOLGA1's structure-function relationships, paving the way for potential therapeutic strategies that target Golgi-related dysfunctions. Thus, the recombinant expression of GOLGA1 protein is essential for evaluating its biochemical properties, understanding receptor-ligand interactions, and unraveling its role in disease mechanisms, thereby providing insights into novel intervention strategies in the context of human health and pathology.
