Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interferon-alpha 6 (IFN-alpha 6, or IFNA6) is a member of the interferon-alpha family, which plays a crucial role in the immune response against viral infections and tumor cells. This cytokine is primarily produced by leukocytes and has been shown to have antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory effects. Research on recombinant IFN-alpha 6 has gained traction due to its potential therapeutic applications in treating viral infections such as hepatitis and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), as well as various types of cancer. Studies have indicated that IFN-alpha 6 can activate downstream signaling pathways, enhancing the expression of interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) that collectively contribute to host defense mechanisms. Furthermore, the recombinant production of IFNA6 allows for detailed studies on its structure-function relationships, which can lead to the development of more effective antiviral therapies and cancer immunotherapies. Ongoing investigations focus on optimizing the production process, enhancing its bioavailability, and understanding its interactions with immune signaling pathways to maximize its therapeutic potential. This growing body of research underscores the importance of IFN-alpha 6 as a valuable biomolecule in advancing our understanding of immune responses and developing novel treatment strategies.
