Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MDK (Midkine) is a heparin-binding growth factor involved in various biological processes, including cell survival, migration, and differentiation. Its importance in development and pathology has made it a significant focus of research, particularly in cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and tissue regeneration. Elevated levels of MDK have been associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and poor prognosis in several cancer types, demonstrating its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Moreover, MDK plays a crucial role in embryonic development, influencing neuronal survival and vascularization. Given its multifaceted roles, researchers have sought to explore the mechanisms of MDK action, leading to an increased interest in recombinant MDK proteins. These proteins are produced using various expression systems, enabling the study of MDK's structure-function relationships and its interactions with other cellular components. The development of recombinant MDK also presents opportunities in therapeutic applications, such as promoting tissue repair and modulating immune responses. As the understanding of MDK's diverse functions expands, the research on recombinant MDK proteins continues to advance, paving the way for innovative strategies in both basic science and clinical therapies.
