Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Klk1b5, a member of the kallikrein-related peptidase family, is primarily expressed in the prostate and has attracted attention due to its potential implications in various physiological and pathological processes, including prostate cancer. The kallikrein family of serine proteases is involved in several biological functions, such as blood pressure regulation, immune responses, and reproductive processes. Research into Klk1b5 has revealed its role as a biomarker for prostate cancer progression, suggesting that it may serve as a useful diagnostic tool or a target for therapeutic intervention. The recombinant expression of Klk1b5 allows for detailed functional studies and the elucidation of its biological roles, as well as the development of potential inhibitors. Understanding the structure and function of Klk1b5 at the molecular level could lead to advancements in prostate cancer treatment and improve patient outcomes. Consequently, the generation of recombinant Klk1b5 protein is essential for screening assays and for exploring its interactions with other proteins, thereby fostering the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting this pathway.
