Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CSTB (Cystatin B) is a cysteine protease inhibitor that plays a crucial role in regulating proteolytic activity within the central nervous system. Its significance has been underscored by research linking CSTB mutations to neurological disorders, including the neurodegenerative condition Uncinate Focal Epilepsy, characterized by refractory seizures. Studies show that CSTB is involved in neuroinflammatory processes and neuronal cell death, indicating its potential as a therapeutic target. The production of recombinant CSTB proteins has become essential for understanding their biological functions and interactions at the molecular level. By utilizing techniques such as recombinant DNA technology, researchers can investigate CSTB's structure and mechanism of action, providing insights into its role in brain pathology and the potential development of novel therapeutic strategies. Additionally, characterizing CSTB as a recombinant protein allows for biochemical assays and the exploration of its involvement in protease-related diseases, paving the way for advances in treatments for neurodegenerative diseases and other conditions linked to proteolytic dysregulation. Overall, the research surrounding CSTB recombinant proteins is vital, as it not only enhances our understanding of its physiological functions but also contributes to broader insights in the field of neurobiology and potential clinical applications.
