Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of recombinant CPT2 (carnitine palmitoyltransferase 2) protein has garnered increasing attention due to its critical role in fatty acid metabolism and mitochondrial function. CPT2 is a key enzyme in the mitochondrial transport of long-chain fatty acids, facilitating their conversion into acylcarnitines, which are essential for energy production in cells. Deficiencies or dysfunctions in CPT2 are linked to several metabolic disorders, including CPT2 deficiency, which can lead to serious conditions such as myopathy, cardiomyopathy, and potentially life-threatening crises during fasting or illness. Understanding the structure and function of CPT2 through recombinant protein techniques allows for insights into its mechanisms and interactions, paving the way for potential therapeutic strategies. By producing CPT2 recombinantly, researchers can explore enzyme kinetics, inhibition, and drug design specific to metabolic diseases. Additionally, recombinant CPT2 serves as a valuable tool for studying the effects of various genetic mutations and their pathological consequences. Overall, the research on recombinant CPT2 protein is vital not only for understanding its biological significance but also for developing clinical applications that can ameliorate the impact of CPT2-related metabolic disorders.
