  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Geminin is a crucial protein involved in the regulation of DNA replication and cell cycle progression. It functions primarily as an inhibitor of the licensing of DNA replication origins, ensuring that DNA is only replicated once per cell cycle. Abnormal expression of Geminin has been linked to various cancers, making it a significant focus of research in cancer biology. The GEMIN7 isoform, a variant of the Geminin protein, has gained attention for its unique structural and functional properties. Studies suggest that GEMIN7 may play a role in modulating cellular responses to DNA damage and in the regulation of cell proliferation. Recent research has explored the recombination and characterization of GEMIN7 to understand its biological functions better and elucidate its potential as a therapeutic target. By generating recombinant versions of GEMIN7, researchers aim to investigate its interactions with other cellular proteins and its impact on critical signaling pathways. This research not only enhances our understanding of GEMIN7’s role in cellular mechanisms but also paves the way for the development of novel cancer therapies that could exploit the vulnerabilities associated with its dysregulation. As cancer continues to be a leading cause of mortality worldwide, such studies are imperative for advancing treatment options and improving patient outcomes.
