Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Gas6 (Growth arrest-specific 6) is a vitamin K-dependent protein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell survival, proliferation, and immune response regulation. Initially identified for its involvement in tissue repair and inflammation, GAS6 has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its association with several pathophysiological conditions, such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and autoimmune disorders. The protein is known to interact with multiple receptors, notably the Axl receptor tyrosine kinase, which mediates its diverse effects on cellular functions. Research has indicated that GAS6 can promote cell survival and migration, which can contribute to tumor progression in cancer. Moreover, its anti-inflammatory properties imply potential therapeutic applications in autoimmune diseases. The recombinant production of GAS6 protein enables detailed structural and functional studies, facilitating the exploration of its signaling pathways and interactions with other molecules. Investigating the implications of GAS6 in disease processes may lead to novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, since modulating its activity could provide insights into treatment options for diseases characterized by dysregulated cell growth and immune responses. Consequently, understanding GAS6's multifaceted role not only enriches our knowledge of fundamental biological mechanisms but also opens avenues for innovative medical interventions.
