Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NPHP2, or Nephronophthisis 2, is a protein that plays a crucial role in kidney function and development, particularly in the context of nephronophthisis, a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by renal cysts and progressive kidney failure. The study of NPHP2 is significant due to its association with ciliopathies—conditions that arise from defects in cilia, which are essential cellular organelles involved in signaling and fluid movement. Research into the recombinant form of NPHP2 has garnered attention as it offers insights into the molecular mechanisms of kidney disease and potential therapeutic targets. Recombinant proteins enable researchers to dissect the functional properties of NPHP2, including its interactions with other proteins and its role in cellular pathways. Understanding the structure and function of NPHP2 through these studies is pivotal for developing strategies to mitigate the renal complications associated with nephronophthisis and related disorders. By unraveling the biochemical pathways influenced by NPHP2, scientists aim to contribute to the advancement of gene therapy, molecular diagnostics, and personalized medicine for affected individuals. The continued exploration of NPHP2 as a recombinant protein not only enhances the comprehension of its biological significance but also paves the way for innovative approaches in treating kidney diseases linked to ciliopathy.
