稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) is a crucial regulator of the cell cycle, playing a pivotal role in the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase, where DNA replication occurs. Dysregulation of CDK4 activity has been implicated in various cancers, making it a target for therapeutic intervention. Studies have shown that overexpression of CDK4 can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, a hallmark of cancerous cells. Additionally, CDK4 functions as a catalytic subunit, forming complexes with cyclins, predominantly cyclin D, to drive cell cycle progression. The research on recombinant CDK4 proteins involves not only elucidating its structural and functional characteristics but also understanding its interactions with inhibitors like p16INK4a, which acts to suppress CDK4 activity, thus providing insights into tumor suppression mechanisms. Importantly, the development of specific CDK4 inhibitors has emerged as a promising strategy in cancer therapy, underscoring the necessity for detailed studies of the recombinant form of this protein. By generating CDK4 in vitro, researchers can probe its enzymatic properties, test potential inhibitors, and explore its role in oncogenesis, ultimately contributing to the development of more effective therapeutic strategies in the fight against cancer.
