Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The Prkag1 gene encodes the gamma-1 regulatory subunit of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a critical energy sensor in cells that plays a pivotal role in regulating cellular metabolism, growth, and energy homeostasis. Research on Prkag1 recombinant protein has gained prominence due to its involvement in various physiological processes, including glucose uptake, lipid metabolism, and mitochondrial function. Dysfunction in AMPK signaling, often linked to metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes, makes Prkag1 a significant target for therapeutic intervention. Studies have demonstrated that Prkag1 mutations can lead to metabolic dysregulation, highlighting its importance in maintaining energy balance within tissues. The recombinant production of Prkag1 allows for in-depth functional studies and the exploration of its interactions with other metabolic regulators. This, in turn, facilitates the development of potential strategies for addressing metabolic diseases. By understanding the biochemical properties and regulatory mechanisms of the Prkag1 protein, researchers aim to uncover novel insights into its role in health and disease, ultimately paving the way for innovative treatments. The characterization of Prkag1 recombinant protein is thus essential for elucidating its function and potential therapeutic applications in metabolism-related conditions.
