Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AIF1, or Allograft Inflammatory Factor 1, is a protein that plays a pivotal role in inflammatory responses and immune regulation, particularly in the context of allograft rejection and autoimmune diseases. It is predominantly expressed in macrophages and microglia, where it is involved in various cellular processes such as migration, activation, and the modulation of inflammatory responses. Research has shown that AIF1 is upregulated in pathological conditions, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for inflammatory diseases and a target for therapeutic interventions. Studies have indicated that AIF1 can influence the polarization of macrophages, shifting them towards a pro-inflammatory state, which further implicates it in the pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory conditions. Given its importance in both the immune response and disease mechanisms, AIF1 has garnered significant interest in the field of biomedical research. Efforts to engineer recombinant AIF1 (rAIF1) have paved the way for elucidating the protein's functions and therapeutic potential. Enhanced understanding of AIF1's structure and function may allow for the development of novel strategies to modulate immune responses, providing insights that could lead to innovative treatments for a variety of inflammatory and degenerative diseases.
