Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast Growth Factor 16 (FGF-16) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, which plays critical roles in various biological processes, including embryonic development, tissue repair, and cellular growth. FGF-16 is mainly expressed in the heart and has been implicated in cardiac function and regeneration, making it a focal point for research in cardiovascular biology. Recent studies have highlighted its potential in modulating cardiac hypertrophy and improving cardiac performance, suggesting its therapeutic viability in heart diseases. Additionally, FGF-16 interacts with specific fibroblast growth factor receptors, activating downstream signaling pathways that contribute to cell proliferation and survival. The recombinant expression of FGF-16 enables detailed investigations into its structure-function relationships and biological activities. By generating recombinant FGF-16, researchers can explore its molecular mechanisms, assess its potential as a biomarker, and evaluate its efficacy in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Understanding the properties of recombinant FGF-16 is crucial for developing novel therapeutic strategies for cardiac repair and improving outcomes in patients with heart conditions. Overall, the study of FGF-16 not only enhances our knowledge of cardiac biology but also opens avenues for innovative treatments in regenerative therapies.
