简介
The PVR/CD155 protein, encoded by the PVR gene, acts as a receptor for poliovirus. It is involved in the regulation of heterophilic and homophilic cell adhesion, as well as leukocyte-mediated cytotoxicity. PVR/CD155 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived PVR/CD155 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

-
Biological Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rat PVR/CD155 at 20 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Rat DNAM-1/CD226. The ED50 for this effect is 796.7 ng/mL. Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PVR/CD155 is a significant cell surface protein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, playing a crucial role in mediating immune responses. It is primarily expressed on dendritic cells, macrophages, and certain tumors, serving as a ligand for the receptor Nectin-2 and the poliovirus receptor. The study of PVR/CD155 has garnered attention due to its involvement in immune regulation and tumor biology. It participates in the processes of cell adhesion, immune evasion, and has been linked to the activation of immune checkpoints, making it a potential target for cancer immunotherapy. Elevated levels of PVR/CD155 have been associated with poor prognosis in various cancers, as it can facilitate tumor immune escape by inhibiting T cell activation and promoting immunosuppressive environments. Researchers have increasingly focused on recombinant protein approaches to better understand PVR/CD155’s structure-function relationships, its interaction with other proteins, and its potential as a therapeutic target. The development of PVR/CD155 recombinant proteins can aid in generating specific antibodies, elucidating signaling pathways, and exploring its role in the tumor microenvironment. Overall, the study of PVR/CD155 recombinant proteins holds promise for advancing our understanding of immune mechanisms in cancer and developing novel strategies for cancer immunotherapy.
