The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Gastrotropin, also known as FABP6 (fatty acid binding protein 6), is a member of the fatty acid binding protein family that plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and transport within the gastrointestinal tract. The protein has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its potential implications in various physiological and pathological conditions, including obesity, diabetes, and inflammatory bowel diseases. Research has shown that FABP6 is involved in the absorption of fatty acids in intestinal enterocytes and may influence the body's energy balance and metabolic processes. Given its role in fat digestion and absorption, the recombinant expression of Gastrotropin/FABP6 has become a focal point for studies aimed at understanding its function and potential therapeutic applications. By producing this protein in a recombinant form, researchers can investigate its structure-function relationship and assess its interaction with different ligands, potentially leading to the development of novel dietary supplements or drugs targeting metabolic disorders. Furthermore, recombinant FABP6 could serve as a valuable tool for elucidating the mechanisms underlying intestinal lipid transport and the role of fatty acids in gut health, paving the way for innovative strategies to manage metabolic diseases linked to dysregulated lipid metabolism. As the obesity epidemic continues to rise globally, the exploration of Gastrotropin/FABP6 could provide insightful contributions to the development of effective interventions aimed at improving metabolic health.
