Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HTR7, or the 7-hydroxytryptamine receptor 7, is a crucial member of the serotonin receptor family, which plays a significant role in various physiological processes, including mood regulation, anxiety, and cognitive function. It is a G protein-coupled receptor that is primarily expressed in the central nervous system, influencing neurotransmission and neuroendocrine signaling. Dysfunctional HTR7 signaling has been associated with several neuropsychiatric disorders, such as depression and schizophrenia. Given its potential as a pharmacological target, understanding the structural and functional properties of HTR7 is imperative. The recombinant expression of HTR7 proteins in suitable systems enables researchers to investigate binding affinities, signaling pathways, and conformational changes upon ligand interaction. Studies utilizing HTR7 recombinant proteins contribute to the development of therapeutic drugs aimed at modulating its activity, thereby providing insights into new treatment strategies for mental health disorders. In addition, exploring the receptor's interactions with other cellular partners can reveal vital information about its role in neural circuits and behavior. As the demand for effective psychiatric treatments continues to rise, investigating HTR7 through recombinant protein studies represents a promising avenue for enhancing our understanding of serotonin-mediated signaling and its implications on health and disease.
