简介
In contrast to antigen presentation, MICB proteins serve as stress-induced autoantigens and are recognized by γδ T cells. As a ligand for the KLRK1/NKG2D receptor, binding of MICB results in cell lysis. MICB Protein, Human (HEK293, His-Avi) is the recombinant human-derived MICB protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-Avi, C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MICB (MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence B) is an important protein implicated in the regulation of immune responses and the activation of natural killer (NK) cells. As a ligand for the NKG2D receptor on NK and cytotoxic T cells, MICB plays a critical role in the recognition and elimination of stressed or infected cells. In recent years, there has been growing interest in studying MICB as a potential therapeutic target in cancer immunotherapy, where its expression may be upregulated in tumor cells, allowing for enhanced immune surveillance and destruction. The recombinant production of MICB protein enables detailed structural and functional studies, facilitating the understanding of its interactions with immune receptors and its role in immune evasion by tumors. Investigating the properties of MICB, including its expression patterns and post-translational modifications, could provide insights into developing innovative strategies to modulate its activity for therapeutic purposes. Additionally, MICB serves as a relevant biomarker for various diseases, making it a significant focus of research in immunology and oncology. Overall, the exploration of recombinant MICB protein is essential for advancing our understanding of immune mechanisms and developing new approaches for treating cancer and other diseases where immune regulation is disrupted.
