Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GLTP (glycolipid transfer protein) plays a critical role in lipid metabolism and cellular signaling, making it a significant focus in biomedical research. It facilitates the transfer of glycolipids between membranes, contributing to various physiological processes including cell membrane dynamics, pathogen recognition, and signaling pathways. The disruption of GLTP function has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes, highlighting its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Recent studies have shown that GLTP is involved in modulating immune responses and maintaining neuronal stability, which further underscores its therapeutic potential. The recombinant expression of GLTP provides a valuable tool for researchers to elucidate its functional mechanisms, investigate its interaction with other biomolecules, and explore its role in disease. By producing GLTP as a recombinant protein, scientists can analyze its structural and functional properties in vitro and in vivo, paving the way for the development of targeted therapies that could manipulate glycolipid transfer processes. This research is crucial not only for understanding the basic biology of GLTP but also for its potential applications in developing novel treatments for related diseases.
