简介
Fibromodulin is an important regulatory protein that affects fiber formation rate and plays a crucial role in collagen fiber formation. It binds type I and type II collagen, affects fibril formation and organization, and contributes to the structural integrity of the extracellular matrix. Fibromodulin Protein, Human (HEK293, hFc) is the recombinant human-derived Fibromodulin protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibromodulin is a small leucine-rich proteoglycan predominantly found in connective tissues, where it plays a critical role in regulating collagen fiber assembly and influencing cell behavior. Its importance has been underscored in various studies linking abnormalities in fibromodulin expression to several pathological conditions, including fibrotic diseases and certain types of cancer. The interest in recombinant fibromodulin protein arises from its potential applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, where it may enhance wound healing and improve the structural integrity of engineered tissues. Researchers have focused on methods to produce recombinant fibromodulin in various expression systems, aiming to study its biochemical properties, understand its interactions with other extracellular matrix components, and explore its therapeutic implications. The development of recombinant fibromodulin not only contributes to fundamental biological understanding but also opens avenues for developing novel treatments for tissue repair and regeneration, thereby addressing significant clinical needs in orthopedic and cardiovascular medicine.
