The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MSH2 is a crucial protein involved in the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) system, playing a vital role in maintaining genomic stability by correcting base pair mismatches that occur during DNA replication. Mutations or malfunctions in the MSH2 gene can lead to microsatellite instability (MSI) and an increased risk of various cancers, especially colorectal cancer. Understanding MSH2 at the molecular level is essential for deciphering its function in DNA repair and its implications in tumorigenesis. Research on recombinant MSH2 proteins helps elucidate the protein's structure-function relationships and interactions with other components of the MMR pathway, including MSH3 and MLH1. By expressing and purifying MSH2 recombinant proteins, scientists can investigate their biochemical properties, such as conformational changes, binding affinity, and repair activity in vitro. This research not only enhances our understanding of MSH2's mechanism but also has potential clinical implications, paving the way for targeted therapies and diagnostic tools for MMR-deficient cancers. Consequently, ongoing studies on MSH2 recombinant proteins aim to provide insights that could contribute to cancer prevention and treatment strategies, making it a significant focus in cancer research and molecular biology.
