  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CEACAM8, also known as CD66b, is a glycoprotein predominantly expressed on the surface of neutrophils and plays a crucial role in immune responses and inflammation. As a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family, CEACAM8 is involved in cell adhesion, signal transduction, and regulation of neutrophil activation and migration. Recent studies have highlighted its significance in various pathophysiological conditions, including infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. Given its pivotal function in the innate immune system, CEACAM8/CD66b has emerged as a potential therapeutic target. Researchers have begun investigating its role in modulating immune responses and its interactions with other cells and molecules in the tumor microenvironment. The recombinant protein of CEACAM8/CD66b has been developed to further study its biological activities and mechanisms of action, aiming to elucidate its involvement in disease processes and explore its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic agent. Understanding the functional properties of CEACAM8/CD66b could lead to innovative strategies for enhancing immune responses, improving clinical outcomes in infections and cancers, and addressing autoimmune disorders. Thus, the ongoing research into CEACAM8/CD66b reflects a promising frontier in immunology and therapeutic development.
