简介
The LRRTM2 protein is critical for developing and maintaining excitatory synapses, regulating AMPA receptor surface expression, and directing the formation of functional glutamate release sites for synaptic efficacy.LRRTM2 serves as a ligand for presynaptic receptors NRXN1-A and NRXN1-B and participates in transsynaptic signaling.LRRTM2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived LRRTM2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LRRTM2 (Leucine-rich repeat transmembrane protein 2) is a member of the leucine-rich repeat transmembrane protein family, which plays a significant role in synapse formation and function in the nervous system. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of LRRTM2 in establishing excitatory synapses, influencing neuronal connectivity and plasticity. Dysregulation of LRRTM2 has been implicated in various neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia, making it a critical target for research. The recombinant expression of LRRTM2 provides a valuable tool to investigate its structural and functional properties, enabling researchers to explore its interaction with other synaptic proteins and its role in mediating synaptic transmission. By studying LRRTM2, scientists aim to gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying synaptic development and potential therapeutic strategies for related neurological conditions. Understanding LRRTM2's function can also enhance our broader knowledge of synaptic pathology and contribute to the development of innovative interventions for neurological disorders.
