简介
The ICAM-1/CD54 protein plays a crucial role in cell interactions, acting as a ligand for the leukocyte adhesion protein LFA-1. It promotes leukocyte transendothelial migration by promoting the assembly of endothelial apical cups through ARHGEF26/SGEF and RHOG activation. ICAM-1/CD54 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived ICAM-1/CD54 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ICAM-1 (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1), also known as CD54, is a crucial protein involved in immune response regulation and cell adhesion. It is predominantly expressed on endothelial cells, immune cells, and various types of tissues under inflammatory conditions. The interaction of ICAM-1 with integrins, particularly LFA-1 ( lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1), facilitates leukocyte adhesion, migration, and subsequent immune cell activation, making it vital for orchestrating immune responses and tissue repair. Dysregulation of ICAM-1 expression is associated with various pathophysiological conditions, including chronic inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. As a result, the study of ICAM-1/CD54 recombinant proteins has garnered significant attention for potential therapeutic applications. Researchers aim to leverage recombinant ICAM-1 for diverse purposes, such as studying immune interactions, developing vaccines, and creating novel therapeutic agents that can modulate immune responses. The generation of recombinant ICAM-1/CD54 proteins allows for in-depth investigation of its structural and functional properties, as well as its role in various biological pathways. Furthermore, these studies pave the way for exploring ICAM-1 as a biomarker for disease progression and a target for therapeutic intervention, thereby opening new avenues for advancing immunotherapy and enhancing vaccine efficacy.
