简介
The SLPI protein is an acid-stable protease inhibitor that has shown strong affinity for trypsin, chymotrypsin, elastase, and cathepsin G in multiple studies. It plays a critical regulatory role in inflammatory and immune responses following bacterial infection and Listeria monocytogenes infection. SLPI Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived SLPI protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of SLPI (Secretory Leukocyte Protease Inhibitor) recombinant proteins has gained significant attention due to their crucial role in the immune response and the regulation of inflammation. SLPI is a serine protease inhibitor primarily produced in various epithelial tissues, including the respiratory and reproductive tracts. It has been recognized for its ability to inhibit proteolytic enzymes released during inflammation and infection, thereby protecting tissues from damage and promoting wound healing. Additionally, SLPI exhibits antimicrobial properties, contributing to host defense against pathogens. Research into the recombinant production of SLPI has been driven by its potential therapeutic applications, including the treatment of inflammatory diseases, infections, and its implications in cancer biology. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, researchers aim to produce functional SLPI in a controlled environment, allowing for the exploration of its biological activities and interactions. Understanding the structure-function relationship of SLPI through recombinant techniques can enhance insights into its mechanisms and pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies. Thus, the investigation of SLPI recombinant proteins not only provides valuable information about immunological processes but also holds promise for advancing medical treatments and improving patient outcomes in various diseases.
