The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Integrin alpha 6 beta 1 is a significant cell adhesion receptor that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cellular migration, differentiation, and signaling. This heterodimeric protein primarily interacts with extracellular matrix components, such as laminin, influencing tissue architecture and homeostasis. Research on integrin alpha 6 beta 1 has gained momentum due to its implications in cancer metastasis, wound healing, and tissue repair, where abnormal expression or function can lead to pathological conditions. Notably, integrins serve as potential therapeutic targets; thus, understanding the molecular mechanisms of integrin alpha 6 beta 1 can facilitate the development of novel interventions for diseases associated with its dysregulation. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have allowed for the production and purification of functional integrin alpha 6 beta 1, enabling researchers to explore its structure, binding properties, and role in cell signaling pathways. Studies utilizing recombinant integrin have elucidated its involvement in tumor progression and immune responses, highlighting the protein's potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. This growing body of research underscores the importance of integrin alpha 6 beta 1 in both basic biology and clinical applications, paving the way for new strategies to manipulate its activity in disease contexts.
