简介
DSG3 protein facilitates cell-cell adhesion by mediating the interaction between plaque proteins and intermediate filaments at intercellular desmosome junctions. It interacts with PKP2, enhancing the stability and integrity of these junctions. DSG3 plays a vital role in maintaining tissue architecture and structural integrity through strong cell adhesion. DSG3 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived DSG3 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DSG3 (Desmoglein 3) is a crucial member of the desmosome family of cell adhesion molecules, primarily expressed in keratinocytes, which play a significant role in maintaining the integrity of epithelial tissues. Disorders associated with DSG3, particularly pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune blistering disease, highlight its importance in cell-cell adhesion. In pemphigus vulgaris, autoantibodies target DSG3, disrupting the normal adhesion between skin cells and leading to severe blistering of the skin and mucous membranes. The study of recombinant DSG3 proteins has gained traction as researchers aim to better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of pemphigus and to explore potential therapeutic strategies. Recombinant proteins offer a platform for investigating the structural and functional aspects of DSG3, including its interactions with antibodies in pemphigus vulgaris. Furthermore, these proteins can be utilized to develop diagnostic tools and therapeutic agents, including the potential for immunomodulatory treatments. As research progresses, the insights gained from DSG3 recombinant proteins may pave the way for innovative approaches to manage autoimmune conditions linked to desmosomal defects and may provide broader implications for understanding cell adhesion and tissue integrity in various diseases.
