Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALOX5, or arachidonate lipoxygenase-5, is a crucial enzyme in the metabolism of arachidonic acid, playing a significant role in the biosynthesis of leukotrienes, which are lipid mediators involved in inflammatory responses and immune regulation. The enzyme is primarily expressed in leukocytes and participates in various physiological and pathological processes, including asthma, allergic reactions, and cardiovascular diseases. Given its importance in mediating inflammation and signaling pathways, ALOX5 has been identified as a potential therapeutic target for managing inflammatory disorders. The study of recombinant ALOX5 protein has gained momentum, enabling researchers to investigate its structure, enzymatic function, and interactions with other biomolecules. By expressing ALOX5 in heterologous systems, scientists can produce the protein in sufficient quantities for biochemical assays, structural analysis, and drug screening. This research not only enhances our understanding of the enzyme’s role in disease mechanisms but also aids in the identification of novel inhibitors that could serve as potential therapeutic agents. Understanding the regulation and activity of ALOX5 at a molecular level is essential for developing strategies to modulate its function in various diseases, thus broadening the scope of targeted therapies aimed at orchestrating inflammatory responses. Overall, the exploration of ALOX5 recombinant protein represents a promising avenue in biomedicine, bridging the gap between basic research and clinical application in the treatment of inflammatory conditions.
