Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTBP1, or Polypyrimidine Tract-Binding Protein 1, is a vital RNA-binding protein involved in the regulation of alternative splicing and gene expression. Its role in cellular processes is significant, especially in the context of development and differentiation. Research has shown that PTBP1 is intricately linked to various biological functions, including neuronal development, where it influences the splicing patterns of pre-mRNAs crucial for neuronal function and plasticity. Dysregulation of PTBP1 has been implicated in several diseases, particularly cancers, where it can contribute to the aberrant expression of oncogenes and tumor suppressors, thereby impacting cell proliferation and survival. The production of recombinant PTBP1 protein has become increasingly important for studying its molecular mechanisms, interactions with RNA and other proteins, and potential therapeutic applications. Various expression systems, such as bacteria, yeast, or mammalian cells, are employed to generate this protein, allowing for detailed biochemical and biophysical characterization. Understanding the structure and function of PTBP1 at the molecular level offers insights into its role in health and disease, paving the way for novel strategies in targeted therapies. As research progresses, the recombinant PTBP1 protein serves as a pivotal tool for exploring its involvement in post-transcriptional regulation and for developing interventions aimed at correcting its dysregulation in pathological conditions. Through these studies, PTBP1 has garnered attention as a crucial player in maintaining cellular homeostasis and represents a promising target in the ongoing search for innovative treatment modalities in various diseases.
