Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MT1G, or Metallothionein 1G, is a low-molecular-weight, cysteine-rich protein that plays a crucial role in cellular metal ion homeostasis, detoxification, and protection against oxidative stress. Its expression is typically regulated by various stimuli, including heavy metals, oxidative agents, and cytokines, making it a significant component in the body's defense mechanisms. Research has increasingly focused on the role of MT1G in various physiological and pathological processes, particularly its implications in cancer biology. Altered expression of MT1G has been associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and resistance to chemotherapy, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Moreover, MT1G may also play a vital role in modulating inflammatory responses and neurodegenerative diseases. The recombinant production of MT1G is essential for studying its biochemical properties, understanding its interactions with metal ions, and exploring its therapeutic potential. Developing recombinant protein allows for the detailed characterization of MT1G’s functionality in various biological systems, thereby providing insights into its diverse roles in human health and disease. Current research avenues include examining the structure-function relationship of MT1G, its regulatory mechanisms, and its potential applications in biomedicine, particularly in developing therapeutic strategies that harness its protective effects against cellular damage and its utility in targeting metal-related diseases.
