Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Neuroligin-1 (NLGN1) is a postsynaptic cell-adhesion molecule that plays a crucial role in synapse formation and function in the central nervous system. It is encoded by the NLGN1 gene and is known to interact with presynaptic neurexins, thereby facilitating the establishment and maintenance of excitatory synapses. Dysregulation of NLGN1 has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, and intellectual disabilities. Research has increasingly focused on characterizing the structure and function of NLGN1 to understand its role in synaptic plasticity and neural circuitry. The recombinant expression of NLGN1 protein in heterologous systems provides a valuable tool for studying its biochemical properties, interaction dynamics with neurexins, and its impact on neuronal signaling pathways. By generating recombinant NLGN1, researchers aim to elucidate how specific mutations in the NLGN1 gene can affect protein function and contribute to neurodevelopmental disorders. This approach enables the identification of potential therapeutic targets and the development of strategies for intervention in related pathologies. Overall, the study of recombinant NLGN1 protein is essential for advancing our understanding of synaptic biology and its implications in health and disease.
