  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD2 is a cell surface glycoprotein predominantly expressed on T lymphocytes and a subset of natural killer (NK) cells, playing a crucial role in T cell activation, adhesion, and immune response. It interacts with the CD58 ligand on antigen-presenting cells, facilitating cell-cell communication in the immune system. The study of CD2 and its ligand interactions has garnered significant interest due to their potential implications in immunotherapy and vaccine development. Furthermore, SRBC (sheep red blood cells) is often used in immunological research as a model antigen to study immune responses. The recombinant protein CD2/SRBC represents a fusion of these two components, allowing for the exploration of CD2's functional role in immune activation and its interaction with SRBC in a controlled experimental setting. This research aims to deepen our understanding of the mechanisms underlying T cell responses and may provide insights into therapeutic strategies for enhancing immune responses in cancer and infectious diseases. Through the development of CD2/SRBC recombinant proteins, scientists can investigate the nuances of T cell activation and explore avenues for immunomodulation, ultimately contributing to advancements in clinical applications in immunology.
