  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The study of NTCP (Na+/taurocholate co-transporting polypeptide) recombinant protein has gained significant attention due to its critical role in bile acid transport and cholesterol metabolism. NTCP, predominantly expressed in the liver, facilitates the uptake of bile acids from the bloodstream, essential for maintaining cholesterol homeostasis and promoting digestion. Dysregulation of NTCP has been associated with various liver diseases, including cholestasis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Furthermore, NTCP serves as a receptor for certain viruses, such as hepatitis B and D viruses, highlighting its importance in virology and the potential for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant expression of NTCP allows researchers to explore its functional properties in detail, paving the way for drug development targeting liver-related diseases. By characterizing its molecular mechanisms and interactions, studies on NTCP recombinant protein contribute valuable insights into hepatic functions and disease pathways, ultimately enhancing our understanding of liver physiology and paving the way for novel clinical applications.
