Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NTS (Neuropeptide S) is a neuropeptide that plays a crucial role in the regulation of various physiological functions, including stress response, anxiety, and sleep modulation. Its discovery has garnered significant interest due to its potential implications in understanding anxiety disorders and depression. Research into NTS has highlighted its receptor interactions and the pathways it influences, which involve multiple neurotransmitter systems. The functional characterization of NTS-derived recombinant proteins offers valuable insights into their biological activities and therapeutic potential. Through the use of recombinant DNA technology, scientists can produce NTS proteins in a controlled environment, allowing for in-depth studies of their mechanisms of action. This research is pivotal as it paves the way for developing novel treatment strategies for mental health disorders. Additionally, understanding the structure-function relationships of NTS can aid in the design of more effective therapeutic agents that target specific receptor subtypes, potentially minimizing side effects associated with traditional medications. As such, ongoing studies focused on the recombinant expression and functional assays of NTS are essential for elucidating its role in neurobiology and advancing pharmacological applications.
