Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HLA-E*01:03, in conjunction with β2-microglobulin (B2M) and the specific peptide VMAPRTLVL, is a significant focus in immunological research, particularly in the context of modulating immune responses and understanding presentations of non-classical MHC molecules. HLA-E serves as a vital player in immune regulation, as it presents peptides derived from highly conserved leader sequences of other MHC class I molecules to CD94/NKG2 receptors on natural killer (NK) cells and some T cells. The engagement between HLA-E and these receptors plays a crucial role in preventing the activation of NK cells against healthy cells, thereby contributing to immune tolerance and the maintenance of self-integrity. The tetramer format, combining HLA-E*01:03 with B2M and the peptide VMAPRTLVL, allows for the specific visualization and analysis of HLA-E-restricted T cell responses. By presenting this complex, researchers can better understand how certain peptides influence T cell recognition, which can be pivotal in cancer immunotherapy and viral infections where immune evasion is a concern. This research could further elucidate the mechanisms of immune response, potentially leading to innovative therapeutic strategies that harness or manipulate T cell activity against tumors or chronic infections. The development and characterization of the HLA-E*01:03/B2M/VMAPRTLVL tetramer thus provide a crucial tool for studying the implications of HLA-E in health and disease.
