CKAP1/TBCB

简介
The CKAP1/TBCB protein plays a key role in the tubulin folding pathway, binding to α-tubulin folding intermediates after chaperone interactions, which is critical for tubulin heterodimer transition. It regulates heterodimer dissociation and may act as a negative regulator of axonal growth. CKAP1/TBCB Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived CKAP1/TBCB protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CKAP1 (Cytoskeleton-Associated Protein 1) and TBCB (Tubulin Folding Cofactor B) are critical proteins involved in microtubule dynamics and cellular structure. CKAP1 has been shown to play a significant role in stabilizing microtubules and may be involved in cell division and intracellular transport. On the other hand, TBCB is essential for the proper folding and assembly of tubulin, the building block of microtubules, by interacting with unfolded tubulin dimers and facilitating their conversion into functional microtubules. Dysregulation of either CKAP1 or TBCB is implicated in various diseases, including cancer, where altered microtubule dynamics can contribute to uncontrolled cell proliferation and metastasis. The study of CKAP1/TBCB recombinant proteins is crucial to understanding their functional interactions and the mechanistic pathways they govern in cellular activities. By generating recombinant proteins for both CKAP1 and TBCB, researchers aim to elucidate their roles in microtubule regulation, interaction networks, and their potential as therapeutic targets. Investigating the biophysical properties and functional implications of CKAP1/TBCB complexes at the molecular level could provide insights into cellular mechanics and improve our understanding of diseases linked to microtubule dysfunction. Overall, this research holds promise for unveiling novel strategies for the intervention and treatment of conditions related to microtubule misregulation.
