Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Kallikrein-13 (KLK13), a member of the kallikrein family of serine proteases, has garnered attention due to its potential roles in various physiological and pathological processes, including cancer progression and metastasis. This enzyme, also known as human glandular kallikrein 13 (hK13), is implicated in the regulation of extracellular matrix components and activation of other proteases, suggesting a key function in tissue remodeling. Elevated levels of KLK13 have been observed in several malignancies, particularly ovarian cancer, where it is associated with poor prognosis. The study of KLK13 has been further motivated by its potential as a diagnostic biomarker and therapeutic target. The recombinant expression of KLK13 enables detailed investigations into its biological functions, substrate specificity, and interaction with other proteins. Understanding KLK13's mechanisms can provide insights into disease processes and pave the way for the development of innovative therapeutic strategies. Researchers are actively exploring the biochemical properties and clinical implications of KLK13, focusing on its role in cancer diagnostics and targeted therapies, which could lead to improved patient outcomes.
