Gene name
PRTFDC1
-
简介
PRTFDC1 protein, with minimal phosphoribosyltransferase activity, shows low in vitro detection levels. It binds GMP, IMP, and PRPP, yet its involvement in purine metabolism or salvage is not expected. Functioning as a homodimer, its structural configuration highlights its role in cellular processes. PRTFDC1 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived PRTFDC1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PRTFDC1, or Pseudouridine Synthase and Sulfate Transporter Family Member 1, is a member of a protein family that plays crucial roles in various biological processes, including RNA modification and cellular signaling. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in the regulation of gene expression and cellular metabolism, making it a molecule of interest in both basic and applied research. Mutations or dysregulation of PRTFDC1 have been linked to several diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders, which underscores its potential as a therapeutic target. Research involving the recombinant expression of PRTFDC1 protein enables scientists to study its structure, function, and interactions in detail. By producing this protein in vitro, researchers can investigate its enzymatic activity, binding properties, and role in the pathophysiology of various diseases. The expression of recombinant PRTFDC1 also paves the way for the development of specific inhibitors or activators, which could lead to novel treatment strategies. As a result, understanding the biological significance of PRTFDC1 through recombinant protein studies is essential for advancing our knowledge of cellular processes and for the potential development of biomedical applications.
