简介
The NEGR1 protein is associated with cell adhesion, suggesting a role in important cellular interactions. Its potential function as a transneural growth-promoting factor in regenerating axonal sprouting suggests a dynamic role in promoting neuronal growth. NEGR1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived NEGR1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NEGR1 (Neurogranin 1) is a protein encoded by the NEGR1 gene, which plays a significant role in the development and function of the nervous system. Recent studies have highlighted NEGR1's involvement in various neurological processes, including neuronal differentiation, synaptic plasticity, and neuronal survival. Alterations in NEGR1 expression have been linked to several neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders, and depression. The protein functions as an adhesion molecule, facilitating communication between neurons and influencing their morphology and connectivity. Given its crucial role in neural development and function, the research community has shown increasing interest in NEGR1 as a potential biomarker for neuropsychiatric conditions and a therapeutic target. The recombinant production of NEGR1 protein allows for detailed studies of its properties and interactions at the molecular level, providing essential insights into its biological significance and potential as a drug target. Understanding NEGR1's structural and functional attributes could pave the way for novel interventions to mitigate the impact of disorders associated with its dysregulation, thereby enhancing our grasp of neural health and disease.
