简介
14-3-3 sigma proteins are adapter proteins in various signaling pathways that bind to phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motifs to regulate chaperone activity. When bound to KRT17, it stimulates the regulation of protein synthesis and cell growth through the Akt/mTOR pathway. 14-3-3 sigma Protein, Mouse is the recombinant mouse-derived 14-3-3 sigma protein, expressed by E. coli , with tag free.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The 14-3-3 sigma protein is a member of the 14-3-3 family of regulatory proteins that play crucial roles in various cellular processes, including signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, and apoptosis. Research into 14-3-3 sigma has gained attention due to its involvement in tumor biology, particularly as it is often found to be downregulated in various types of cancer. This downregulation is associated with tumor progression, aggressive phenotypes, and poor prognosis. 14-3-3 sigma acts as a significant tumor suppressor, regulating cell division and inhibiting unwanted proliferation. Studies have demonstrated its role in stabilizing other proteins, modulating protein interactions, and influencing cellular localization. Furthermore, 14-3-3 sigma participates in multiple signaling pathways, including those governed by p53, a critical regulator of the cellular response to stress and DNA damage. The exploration of 14-3-3 sigma potentially opens avenues for understanding its mechanistic roles in cancer and could lead to novel therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring its expression or function in tumors. Investigations into reconstitution of this protein in cancer models are particularly promising, as they may elucidate its inhibitory effects on oncogenic processes and provide insights into its use as a biomarker or therapeutic target in cancer treatment. Overall, the study of 14-3-3 sigma continues to be a rapidly evolving field, contributing significantly to the understanding of cancer biology and the development of innovative approaches for cancer therapy.
