Carboxypeptidase A4/CPA4

简介
Carboxypeptidase A4 (CPA4) protein is a metalloprotease associated with the histone hyperacetylation pathway, suggesting a possible involvement in epigenetic regulation. CPA4 is specific for C-terminal amino acids (such as -Phe, -Leu, -Ile, -Met, -Tyr, and -Val) and can selectively cleave substrates, suggesting a role in regulating protein composition and function. Carboxypeptidase A4/CPA4 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Carboxypeptidase A4/CPA4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Carboxypeptidase A4 (CPA4) is a member of the carboxypeptidase family, which plays a crucial role in the processing of bioactive peptides and proteins by removing C-terminal amino acids. Research has shown that CPA4 is overexpressed in several cancers, including prostate and breast cancers, making it a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. The enzyme is also implicated in regulating the tumor microenvironment and influencing cancer progression. Given its clinical significance, the production of recombinant CPA4 provides a valuable tool for studying its structure-function relationships and biological activities. Recombinant CPA4 allows researchers to investigate its enzymatic properties, interactions with other biomolecules, and role in cancer biology. Moreover, understanding the mechanisms by which CPA4 contributes to tumorigenesis could open up new avenues for therapeutic interventions. Therefore, the study of recombinant CPA4 not only enhances our knowledge of its biological roles but also holds promise for its application in targeted cancer therapies and diagnostics.
